The Plaza del Prado is located behind the Casa de Cultura de Gandia. This is an old market square. The Plaza del Prado is characterized by large decks that offer shade during the hot months. The original covers were placed in the thirties when the square was still functioning as a market. In the old market of Gandia were sold mainly agricultural products in the region. Today is a meeting place for many people in Gandia. Around the square there are cafes and bars. In the center there are playgrounds for children.
